Large Vacuum Chucks

  • 2L Large Vacuum Chucks are produced from flat ground hi-tensile Cast Aluminum plate.
  • Vacuum Chucks Are Shipped Ground Flat.
  • Design allows for skim cut removal of material to reflatten the surface if necessary.
  • Multiple Vacuum Chucks can be used in the same CNC Machine to create extremely large vacuum workholding areas.
  • Precision Vacuum Chucks available in 3 standard sizes.
    • 13″ x 25″ x 1.5″.
    • 18″ x 36″ x 1.5″.
    • 24″ x 48″ x 1.5″.
  • Special grid design:
    • Maximizes vacuum holding power.
    • Allows for removing material from the top surface if the Vacuum Chuck is damaged during use or if the Vacuum Chuck needs to be re-machined flat.
  • 1/2″ spacing between the Gasket Cord Slots.
    • Provides for flexible workpiece placement.
    • Optimizes table space.

Gasket Cord, Hold Down and Locating Workpieces

Drill-Through Workpieces

  • Replaceable Top Plates to prevent damage to the Vacuum Chuck when cutting through workpieces, and custom fixtures and top plates.
  • Optional Replaceable Top Plates allow for machining and drilling through the workpiece, eliminating possible damage to the surface of the Vacuum Chuck.

  • The 13″ x 25″ Vacuum Chuck is small enough Vacuum Chuck that it is manageable in size and weight for operators to more easily move the vacuum chuck to machine workspaces as needed.
  • Produced from flat ground hi-tensile cast aluminum plate.
  • 1/2″ spacing between the Gasket Cord Slots.
  • Additional threaded holes in the top surface of the Vacuum Chuck allow for use of Workstops to align workpieces and to attach a Replaceable Top Plate.

This Electric Vacuum Pump operates similar in principal to a Standard Air Compressor. The Automatic Vacuum Switch controls the operation of the Vacuum Pump. As the vacuum level drops in the storage tank, the Vacuum Switch turns the Vacuum Pump on until the upper limit of the vacuum is reached.

After the upper limit of the vacuum is reached the Vacuum Pump shuts off. So, just as with a Standard Air Compressor the Automatic Electric Vacuum Pump cycles on and off as needed. therefore the Vacuum Pump can be left unattended for periods of time and does not require the constant attention that a simple Vacuum Pump without automatic switches would require.

The vacuum level switch is adjustable so the maximum level of the vacuum may be adjusted if necessary.

Adjustable Vacuum Pressure Switch:

The Adjustable Vacuum Pressure Switch Part No. 11547:

  • Has has both Normally Open and Normally Closed Quick Connect Terminals.
  • Simple to adjust with one thumbscrew.
  • Tight repeatable deadband for consistent operation.
  • 10-32 vacuum port.
  • Two mounting holes for #6 SHCS.
  • Includes One Push to Connect 1/8” Tubing to 10-32 Connector.
  • Includes three fully insulated 14/16 Gauge Wire – 2.8 mm (0.110”).

When using a vacuum chuck for workholding, the Vacuum Switch can be used to tie inline with the Feed-Hold Switch on the CNC Machine to stop the cnc movement if your vacuum is lost.

Each Complete System includes Vacuum Hose Kit: Part No. 10262 which is comprised of the following components.

  • 10 feet hose length, 5/8″ ID-7/8″OD.
  • 2 – 5/8″ hose barbs.
  • 2 – 3/8″ F NPT-1/4″ M NPT hex adaptors.
  • Hose clamp.
Gasket Cord:
All Large Size Vacuum Chucks are designed to use two Gasket Cord sizes.

  • Gasket Cord for smaller workpieces, 1/8″ x 5/16″ (Part No. 10543).
  • Gasket Cord for larger workpieces, 3/16″ x 5/16″ (Part No. 10544).
Replaceable Top Plates - Protect the Surface of the Vacuum Chuck:
