Engraving Tool Bit Selection

Tool Bits - Engraving Tools, Styles and Uses

Our engraving cutters and tool bits are made from a premium ultra-fine submicron grade solid carbide for maximum tool strength and durability.  We design and test our tools on a variety of materials, and manufacture in house to ensure we produce the finest cutters available.

2L Engraving Tools can be used when engraving with:

  • CNC Milling Machines,
  • Standard Holders Such as Collets, Endmill Holders, or Shrink Fit Holders,
  • 2L Spring Loaded Engraving Tools,
  • Top Loading Engraving Machines, or
  • Other Industrial Engraving and Marking Equipment.
The type of engraving tool bit used and the material you are engraving will greatly affect the appearance and end result of the engraved line.  Our engraving tool suggestions below are material specific and are based on our testing and customer feedback.  As the engraving result is strongly influenced by the material engraved you may need to try a few tool styles or sizes to determine which fits your application best.

Solid Carbide Engraving Tool Bits are available in these tool diameters:  1/8", 11/64", 3/16", 1/4", 4mm, 6mm.  We offer standard tools and custom tooling with quick turn-around.
