The type of engraving tool bit used will greatly affect the appearance of the engraved line. The information below is based on the material you are engraving.

Please note that finding the engraving tool for your specific application may require trying a few different tool styles or sizes.

2L Engraving Tools can be used when engraving with:

• cnc milling machines,
• our patented Spring Loaded Engraving Tools,
• top loading engraving machines, or
• other industrial engraving and marking equipment.

Our tool bits can be used with standard holders such as collets, endmill holders or shrink fit holders, or can be used with a Spring Loaded Tool (exceptions noted below).

VERY HARD MATERIALS
Inconel, Hasteloy, Armor, Armor Plate, Titanium & more Tough Tip   Armor Mill  - this tool should be held rigidly and is not recommended for use with a Spring Loaded Tool.	Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Tool Steel, Cold Rolled Steel, Gun Steel & others Tough Tip.   Standard Conical -G   Conical Ballnose   Engraving Mill Drill   Carbide Point - recommended for use with a Spring Loaded Tool for small engraving   Diamond Tip - recommended for use with a Spring Loaded Tool to produce fine lines
